Bio
Dr. Mira Lee is an Assistant Professor in the department of Advertising, Public Relations, and Retailing at Michigan State University.Dr. Lee received her PhD in Mass Communication and MA in Journalism from University of Minnesota. Her research is in the area of new media and interactive advertising, particularly the emerging domain of advergaming -- the use of online games as advertising tools. Specifically, she is interested in understanding how consumers interact with brands while playing advergames, from a perspective of information processing.
Dr. Lee’s research has appeared in Journal of Advertising, Journalism and Mass Communication Quarterly, American Behavioral Scientist, and Journal of Interactive Advertising. She teaches undergraduate courses in media planning, consumer behavior, and advertising campaigns, and graduate courses in non-traditional advertising.
Dr. Lee is a principal investigator at Games for Entertainment and Learning (GEL) Lab at MSU.
